Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

scyappo ("we", "us") operates a booking and walk-in queue platform connecting customers with local businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's used, including the choices available to you.

What we collect

  • Phone number, name, and email — required to sign up, book, or join a queue. Your email is verified via a one-time code at signup.
  • Password — stored only as a salted, irreversible hash, never in plain text.
  • Booking and queue history — which businesses, services, and times you've booked or queued for.
  • Reviews and ratings you choose to submit.
  • Location — only if you enable it, to show nearby businesses and distance. Never collected without your device permission.
  • Push notification subscription — if you allow notifications, so we can send booking/queue updates to your device.
  • Technical and security data — IP address, session cookies, and limited request information used to operate the site, prevent abuse, and protect accounts.

How we use it

Solely to operate the service: authenticate you, process bookings and queue entries, send status updates you've opted into, and let businesses see who booked with them.

Who we share it with

The specific business you book or queue with sees your name, phone, and booking details — that's necessary for them to serve you. We also use service providers to host the website and database, store uploaded photos, and deliver transactional email and browser notifications. They process data only to provide those services. We do not sell your data or share it for third-party advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies for signed-in sessions, security, and—only after you choose to share it—your recent location. Your browser may also store notification and recently viewed preferences. Blocking essential cookies can prevent account and booking features from working.

Your rights

You can view, edit, or delete your account data at any time from your Profile. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal information; past bookings are retained in anonymized form for the business's own records, as required for legitimate business record-keeping.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes it, subject to the anonymization noted above.
